Comfort

Isaiah 49:12-13 (New International Version)
12 See, they will come from afar—
some from the north, some from the west,
some from the region of Aswan. [a] "

13 Shout for joy, O heavens;
rejoice, O earth;
burst into song, O mountains!
For the LORD comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.

Looking back through the old testement stories we are shown a people's struggle to be rightous. Yet after all of their offences, after all of their stubborness towards God, after all of their downfalls and struggles God never leaves them. He never abandons them even when they abandon him. It is amazing the patience and dilligent care of God for his people. Isaiah is a prophet trying to bring the people back to God and away from their pagan religions they have slipped back into, his message is not a message just of fear and distruction but also of comfort. Rejoice for God does not give up on us as he has not given up on any of his children. God Bless!
