Prayer Requests

Ephesians 6:18ish. .. The Message
In the same way, prayer is essential. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

We all go through ups and downs in life is it is sooo important to have friends to help you through. One of the best things we can do for friends is simply love them and be there for them. That doesn't mean giving them advice all the time, but more often listening and being a shoulder to cry on. Help them meet their needs during difficult times, and they'll help you. Eugene Peterson says "keep your eyes open" or simply be there and know what's going on.

Another thing we need to do for our friends is pray for them. Pray for them in their time of need as well as everyday. For their relationships, health, stress, whatever. But especially in the difficult times. I like how the message puts it - keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.

Feel free to put prayer requests here. I will pray for you, and many others will to. Here are a few of my prayer requests.

*A few months ago we found out my grandfather had a tumor in his leg. He had surgery and is still slowly recovering, but tests did show the tumor was cancerous. Prayers for him and our family.

*My roomate suffers from siezures, and tomorrow woud have made 3 months without one, which is huge because it allows her to drive again. But this morning, she had another small one. They are treatable with medication, but still a very difficult thing for her to deal with. Especially with her not being able to drive. Prayers for her and her family.

*I have several young girls I talk to often who have had rough teenage years often filled with depression and many things. Prayers for them and other youth as they grow up.

*I am transferring and leaving my newly formed youth group. Prayers for the church that they will grow in Christ.

*I am going to a new camp this summer. Prayers for all summer camps and the staff and campers there.

always~
your sister in Christ~Erin
